The Law Offices of Richard C. McConathy – Parker County, TX

Isaac Parker served as a member of Elisha Clapp’s company of rangers during the Texas Revolution before representing Houston County for several years in the Texas Congress. He was also a member of the Convention of 1845 and a senator for the first four terms of the Texas legislature. While representing Ellis and Tarrant counties in the House of Representatives, Parker led 224 settlers in the area to sign a petition requesting the establishment of a new county. The state legislature formed Parker County from Bosque and Navarro counties in December 1855.

Parker County is now home to nearly 120,000 residents and is included in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.  Some of the major roadways in the county include Interstate 20, U.S. Route 180, and Texas State Highway 171, and these highways mean that many Texans and visitors are pulled over in Parker County and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
